Finesse Diamonds was founded in 1997 by Steven Gad, a former partner in Diamonds International, with the mission of adding value to the diamond supply chain in the most innovative ways possible while also providing one-of-a-kind diamond jewelry experiences.
In 1998, Finesse introduced one of the first specialty cut diamonds, the patented Eighty-Eight, which quickly rose to unprecedented prominence.

Our History
Finesse Diamonds owns and operates three brands: The Eighty-Eight, Malka, and Diamond Envy. The Eighy-Eight is a patented loose diamond program; each diamond has 8 sides and 88 facets. With 8 being an auspicious number in Eastern culture, this diamond is highly desirable. Malka is an innovative concept in the fluorescent diamond space. As lab grown diamonds have grown in popularity, so too has demand for rare, natural diamonds. Fluorescent diamonds make up less than 3% of all natural diamonds, and Malka is the first brand to showcase their true brilliance. Diamond Envy, launching in early 2024, is a diamond technology brand.

Every diamond we sell is procured ethically and legally from known, reputable sources. We are passionate about diamonds, but we are also passionate about ensuring that the people and communities involved in the diamond trade are treated fairly and with dignity. As part of this commitment, we are fully compliant with all conventions and treaties in place to stem the flow of conflict diamonds, including the Kimberley Process and all initiatives passed by organizations such as the United Nations and World Diamond Congress.
